Day of rest - Sunday

06.30am we are cruising along in a broad reach under full main and reacher. Seas have flattened off a little and the motion much more comfortable. Great crew morale, freshly baked blueberry muffins for morning tea. Loving the warmer temperatures.

A ukelele play and sing song on the high seas!!

A superb day for taking a noon-site from the Sextant

Serious business this celestial navigation!!

Mackerel skies and mare’s tails - a sure sign weather is coming

3pm we have sited Atlantic City on the horizon. ETA Gibson Island tomorrow evening.  Our watch system has been 3 hours on and 5 off with an hour either side overlapping. Effectively we only spend 1 hour on our own. Very doable through the dark hours of night time.

Cup of tea and crumpets on the poop deck!

Delicious fish curry on tonight’s menu

It’s 7pm, we’re on a broad reach, port tack sailing past the  silhouette of Atlantic City on the horizon in calm conditions. A wonderful end to a special day.
