Saturday- just cruising along

Up at the crack of dawn for the 13 mile motor to Cape Cod. Misty rain and light fog made spotting the lobster pots challenging.
Heading into the entrance of the 7 mile Cape Cod Canal, going through on an ebb tide

Taking a 75 foot mast under the bridges is always a nerve wracking experience

The railway bridge closed just after our transit. The whole bridge span drops down to just above water level.

Captain Chris with the lowered railway bridge behind

Wind turbines off Block Island, no wind, rolling seas, blue sky, sunshine and much warmer temperatures

The remainder of the day and into the night had us under engine rocking and rolling. Making dinner was challenging but a superb Chicken Pad Thai was produced from our superb galley. If I say so myself Jeanie deserves a gold star!!

  1. How high does that bridge go? It looks like a tight fit! K
