What to do on a damp, drizzly fog filled day in Nova Scotia?
Catch an inexpensive Uber into Halifax and soak up some atmosphere, walk the seafront boardwalk, visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, eat yet more bacon wrapped scallops washed down with a glass of bubbles …. and enjoy a delightful bistro seafood dinner at the Bicycle Thief Restaurant while watching the skies turn from grey to a gorgeous blue, soaking in the warmth of the sun with a schooner majestically sailing by!!

Yes!! Blue skies again!! |
A little known fact is an explosion took place here in Halifax in 1917 with a loss of 2,000 lives. A French cargo boat filled with explosives and a Norwegian vessel collided causing a massive explosion, tidal waves and fires. The destruction was immense and is the world’s largest non- nuclear explosion to date.
