Counting down - two days pre departure

The bright reddish orange fiery sun rises over the tree-lined horizon sending a shimming flame of color across the slightly rippling water in the mooring field filled with sailboats. The gentle, cool mist will soon give way to another scorching day as Paradigms crew rises early to start the long list of tasks to ready the boat for sea. Departure is scheduled for Thursday--two short days away. Today's adventures will include provisioning (an elegant word for grocery and supplies shopping), picking up crew at the airport, deflating and stowing the paddle board, fenders, lines and other gear in the voluminous aft stowage area nicknamed the garage, preparing food for quick, sumptuously nutritious meals at sea..

I should add that Tami is a professional photographer/journalist ...

Tami was up at 5.30am to capture this stunning sunrise.

Organising the garage - including the dive gear as a just in case ... lobster pot around the prop (we do have a cutter), checking the bottom, the paddleboard, spare parts, fuel, electrical cables ...

Packing the Ditch Bag or Grab Bag as it is known in Kiwi speak.
Hopefully this will never be needed apart from raiding for the extra chocolate rations.
