One last day on the mooring at Newport awaiting wind to sail allowing us to get all the last minute checks and preventative maintenance done.
- Anchor security restrained--Done!
- All cotter pins in place in the rigging and seizing wire on shackles--Done!
- Life lines adjusted to taut and all stanchions that hold the life line secured--Done!
- All 5 raw water strainers cleaned and eel grass removed from thru hull--engine, generator, air conditioning, water maker, refrigerator (boats use cycling of sea water to cool systems)--Done!
- Impeller changed on generator--Done!
- Course and wind double checked--Done!
- Garbage and recycling ashore--Done!
- Storm jib rigged and checked then taken down and stowed--Done!
After a long and successful day, we settled down to eat Jeannie's wonderful tacos and watch the sunset while going over final processes for the morning sail.
